Issue:
When you are configuring a printer or plotter in the Add-A-Plotter wizard, the following error message is displayed:
Warning Missing Driver.
Another error message similar to the following message might also be displayed:
Program Error with the ADDPLWIZ.EXE.
This error can occur when either My Computer or Network Plotter Server is selected in the Add Plotter – Begin dialog box. The error message is displayed after you select the manufacturer and model in the Add Plotter – Plotter Model dialog box and click Next.
Solution:
The error occurs when you attempt to use an HDI printer or plotter driver that was designed for a previous release. The Heidi® library that is used for the printer and plotter drivers has been updated. The HDI drivers for the previous release are therefore not compatible with the new versions.
For example, you could not use the HDI driver from AutoCAD LT® 2000 in AutoCAD LT 2000i.
To resolve this issue, contact the driver or device manufacturer for an updated HDI driver for the plotter or printer. Alternatively, use a Windows system printer driver.
